'Enticing flavours and chilled-out style' is the promise of this little gem and it certainly delivers. Weathered timbers, beaten up tables, mismatched chairs, comfy sofas and smooth tunes all combine to give Salsa the perfect atmosphere for informal social grazing.Salsa is located in the heart of this vibrant city directly opposite the 02 acadamy gig venue, just down the road from the historic tyne theater and close to the Metro Radio Concert Arena and St.Jameses Park, home of Newcastle United FC.
From 5pm the evening menu offers delicious tapas dishes such as minted lamb meatballs, wild mushroom risotto, tempura-battered Brie and tiger prawns in garlic, complimented by popular favorites like nachos and seasoned wedges with loads of dipping salsas.
The daytime cafe menue includes a range of inventive sandwiches along with light tapas bites, soup and salads. Salsa is also fully licenced, so if you fancy just coming down for a beer, glas of wine, cocktail or jug of Sangria then thats just fine.
After more than a decade Salsa is still refered to 'a little place I know' and a venue to eat, drink and hang out.
